Once a legendary Global Village Hostel, it's now an even better SameSun backpacker's lodge! We've pulled out all the stops by building a massive brand new kitchen upstairs, a huge funky common area and featuring, the one and only, Beaver Restaurant and Pub...the best backpacker hang out in North America. The Beaver was designed by backpackers for the backpacking masses. Cheap food, drinks and live Dj's spinning amazing tunes...Pretty cool eh?
Still the largest hostel in downtown Vancouver with a central location in the heart of Vancouver's Backpacker district - great atmosphere, friendly staff, and shiny happy backpackers. Facilities include private rooms, quad rooms, laundry, internet access, games area, lockers and patio. We'll hook you up with cheap Vancouver Canucks tickets for the NHL fans amongst you. We'll also help you sort out your Canadian adventures from the hostel's activity/travel info desk. Plus our social director will wow you with our daily activities like hockey, comedy nights, bowling, movie nights, scavenger hunts, skating, Brewery tours, Pool competitions..... and the list goes on.

From the Airport
From the Vancouver International Airport catch the Downtown Airport Shuttle to The SameSun Lodge located at 1018 Granville Street. The Airporter Bus $12 and leaves from the International Terminal. You can find more information The YVR Airporter
You can also take a City Taxi. Costs will range from $25-$35 CAN.
You can also get to the lodge by local transit bus. Costs are $3.25 per person and directions are available from any airport information desk.
From the Greyhound Bus Station
SameSun Backpacker Lodges is only minutes away from the Vancouver Greyhound Bus/Train Station. We do adivse to give us a call from the station and let us know you're coming...then call a taxi and get a receipt from the driver. When you check-in, pass on the receipt to us...we have a little treat for ya!
From the Train Station

From Seattle
When you get into Vancouver, continue along Highway 99 and it will eventually turn in to Oak St. Once you reach Broadway, turn left. Continue on Broadway to Granville and turn right. This will take you over the Granville Street bridge - we are on the right 3 blocks after the bridge.
From Whistler
Drive into Vancouver take the Lions Gate Bridge follow Georgia at Howe Street and turn right. Travel on to Nelson and turn left. Travel a couple blocks on Nelson to Granville and you will see us 100 meters from the intersection to the right.
