Brazil, the fifth largest country in the world, covers almost half the continent of South America. It' famous for impenetrable rainforest basin of the Amazons, tropical islands and innumerable beaches and rivers. The mythic "land without borders" is full of contrast, where luxury and modernity mix together with poverty and backwardness. Brazilians love to celebrate, the Carnival of Rio de Janeiro that takes place annually before Lent is known worldwide.
