Italian courses in Modena

Modena is one of the most beautiful cities in the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna. Its centre is the Piazza Grande with its cathedral and the bell tower known as the Ghirlandina - all three are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The world-famous Ferrari brand originates from here (its museum is one of Modena's biggest attractions), Luciano Pavarotti was born here and, as not everyone knows, only Modena is home to the original balsamic vinegar.

Modena itself is easy, quick and very convenient to visit, as its centre is not huge and most attractions are just a kilometre from the train station. Modena is not just Ferrari and Luciano Pavarotti. It is an extremely aesthetic place, with beautiful facades of old buildings, wooden shutters, cosy courtyards and alleys, flowered squares, historic temples or wells. Along with Bologna, Modena is the main economic powerhouse of the Emilia-Romagna region, and the local food is really worth the sin.
