Self-Access also contains over five thousand books for reference and study, as well as current newspapers and magazines. Audio and video laboratories with large selection of video and audio-tapes for the EFL learner.

Accommodation

Our accommodation arrangements are of exceptionally high quality: self-catering apartments on campus (summer period only), or accommodation on a part-board basis with an Irish family living close to the university (year-round).

Social & cultural programme

Participants will learn a great deal about Ireland during class and in addition they have the opportunity to partake in varied activities during the afternoons and evenings.

Activities during the week: A full programme of outings and activities in and out of College is offered including excursions to places of historical and cultural interest in Dublin and its environs, seminars, workshops, theatre visits and visits to Dublin's famous pubs etc. The cost of these visits (except the pubs) is included in the tuition fee. It is recommended that participants purchase a commuter ticket on arrival as transportation to these locations is mainly by public bus.

Weekend excursions: Day-trips to scenic locations in various parts of Ireland are organised as are full weekend excursions to the West or South of Ireland. The cost of these excursions is additional but competitive.

Summer vs. winter: During the winter programme, there are one to two activities per week, while the summer programme tends to be much fuller and more activities are available to students during the summer due to a much larger number of participants.
