The International Centre for English Language Studies, part of Oxford Brookes University, offers a wide range of English language and university preparation courses - from one year foundation programmes to short summer school courses. Our courses are designed and taught by highly qualified and dedicated staff, specialists in English for Academic Purposes, many of whom also teach on the University's undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

We are situated on the university's main campus, close to the centre of the beautiful and historic city of Oxford. The city has something for everyone. It is famous for its academic tradition - but this is only a part of what Oxford has to offer. Today Oxford has a cosmopolitan atmosphere and a lively student population.
 As an Oxford Brookes student you have access to all university study facilities and access to email, Internet and networked computers. The modern sports centre provides you with excellent sporting facilities. You receive quality support from the International Student Advisory Service and the Students' Union is here to entertain, help and represent you.
During the International Summer School we organise a range of social and sports activities to help you practise your English socially and to expand your familiarity with British society and culture. This may include visits to local and regional attractions; film and theatre evenings and sports tournaments.
The university has nine halls of residence offering both catered and self-catered accommodation - a great way of meeting other students and making friends. All study bedrooms are networked allowing access to the internet and email. There is a small weekly charge for this service.
