Location:
 CULTURA WIEN is situated right in the heart of the old city of Vienna, in walking distance of all the major sights of Vienna. Here in the centre of Vienna you can stroll through pedestrian zones, have coffee in one of the many famous Viennese cafés, or try some of the world-renowned pastries. You can look into the many bookstores, antiquity-shops or record-shops and thus enjoy the unique Viennese atmosphere.

CULTURA WIEN has achieved its excellent reputation through first-class language teaching and a friendly and personal atmosphere, both of which are essential to your learning and feeling at home in a foreign country.
We are big enough to offer a properly structured learning programme. Yet, at the same time, we are small enough to guarantee individual attention to every single student. At the end of your German course you are awarded a CULTURA WIEN certificate. Our German courses prepare for the ÖSD language exam of all levels, which you can take at CULTURA WIEN. Our staff always has time to answer your questions, to assist you on practical matters, give information and accompany you on cultural activities.
Over the past years we have welcomed students from over 60 countries worldwide. The average age of our students is 19 to 28, slightly younger during the summer courses. Our classrooms have modern audio-visual equipment, in the cafeteria you can have warm and cold drinks and an unlimited and free internet access is available to our students.
Courses:
 CULTURA WIEN offers courses of various length and intensity all year round and during the summer months. A careful placement at the beginning makes sure that you choose a course according to your ability level. A well-balanced teaching-method and constant monitoring guarantee your rapid learning of the German language.
Exams:
CULTURA WIEN courses prepare for the ÖSD exams on all levels. 5 exam dates in 2008.
Activities:
In addition to our German courses we offer various spare-time activities for every taste. These are in the afternoon, the evening, or at the weekend. Our activities are designed to establish contact between our students and Austrians, to give you an insight into the Austrian culture and history and to build international friendships between our various learning groups.
 We organise guided city-tours to less known sights of Vienna and its surroundings, where the background of historical events and the spirit of past epochs becomes clear.
Depending on the season we organise hiking-tours and boat-trips, where you see the surrounding province of Vienna and where you can practise your German in a relaxed atmosphere.
We also encourage our students to participate in local social activities as another way of developing their command of German. The school office can always provide up-to-date information about cultural events, sports, travel possibilities and "in-places".
All the activities are optional, but we recommend the students to take part in them to get the full benefit of the course. The activities are all led by one of our teachers and are free except for entrance fees and transportation.
Accommodation:
Our students can choose between various accommodation options, ranging from home stay to fully furnished flats or hotels and guesthouses. During the summer term (July-September) we offer different student residences. The prices vary, depending on the season, the location of the accommodation (20 - 30 minutes ride on public transport is the average) and the standard of the room.
