Students from all over the world and of all ages participate in our Spanish language programme all year round. The school building with its Andalusian style, its friendly classrooms and its beautiful courtyard retains much of the charm and intimacy of a family home. It is situated in a quiet location just ten minutes away from the city centre. We are a medium-sized school with about 600 students per year. Since 1988 we have been a member of TANDEM International, an association of quality language schools whose emphasis is to provide intercultural exchanges with native speakers.
We are organized as a co-operative and the teaching team participates in decision-making regarding the school and the course outline as whole. Our aim is to create a lively and stimulating relationship between teachers and students. We encourage students to talk and interact both inside and outside the classroom and, more generally, to enjoy their time in Granada. This atmosphere of warmth and sharing ensures rapid progress in a short time. Our permanent teaching team is responsible for the whole course programme, managed and directed by a coordinator. All our teachers are native speakers with university degrees, and they are specialists in the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language.
The Spanish courses are always complemented by an extensive cultural programme.
In the afternoons and evenings we offer a variety of regular activities including the following:
- Conferences concerning present-day topics of interest, Moorish culture and Federico García Lorca.
- Film sessions dedicated to particular Spanish directors.
- Wine tasting and dinners, visits to the Arabic baths, theatre and Flamenco concerts.
- Guided tours to the Alhambra or the Arabic quarter of the Albaicín.
- Trips to villages in the surrounding area or to the beach.
- Cooking courses.
- Flamenco Dance classes
- Trekking and horse-riding in the Sierra Nevada.

Every weekend we offer interesting travel options of between one or several days in Andalusia including tours to Seville, Córdoba, Ronda, the Alpujarras and different nature parks. For those who wish, there is also a 3 day trip to Morocco.
Granada, the birthplace of the poet Federico García Lorca, is without doubt one of the most fascinating cities in southern Spain. It is also an important university town with almost 300.000 inhabitants and more than 60.000 students.
With it's world-famous Alhambra, rich culture and lively nightlife, it is the ideal place for both studying and having a holiday: enjoy a weekend on the Mediterranean coast; participate in winter sports, horse-riding or trekking in the Sierra Nevada; take a trip to the marvellous villages of the Alpujarra mountains; watch gypsy flamenco in Sacromonte and dance salsa and tango in one of Granada's many exciting bars; visit the Arabic baths or stroll through the narrow streets of the old moorish quarter of the Albaicín. These are just a few of many possibilities.
At the end of the day enjoy a red wine with a "tapa" in one of the small squares with a view of the Alhambra and the beautiful snow-covered mountains of Sierra Nevada.
