Courses, held by skilled and professional teachers, take place in our welcoming school in the heart of Genoa, close to Cinque Terre and Portofino.

Different solutions of accommodation and many free time activities are available to join the study of the Italian language to a pleasant stay.
Our Italian study programs are accredited by the Italian Ministry of Education (MIUR), ASILS and EDUITALIA. We also run special courses to CELI and CILS exams. A Door to Italy is an official CELI exam centre.

    CILS - Certificazione di Italiano come Lingua Straniera, developed and administrated by Università per Stranieri di Siena (University for Foreigners of Siena) certifies the level of linguistic and communicative competence of Italian as a foreign language. CILS is set at is set at six levels of proficiency, aligned to the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) – from A1 to C2.

    The Language Centre (CVCL) is an independent academic center of Università per Stranieri di Perugia. The centre develops and administrates a range of examinations of Italian as a foreign language, at different levels and for different contexts of use, ie: CELI (genaral Italian) and CIC (Italian for business). The CVCL cerificates are linked to the Council of Europe's Framework of Reference for Languages, an international language benchmark.

    CELI examinations by CVCL – the Language Centre of Università per Stranieri di Perugia certifies the communicative competence of Italian as a foreign language. The exams are aimed at aduls and focus on the practical ability to use the Italian language in the field of work and study. CELI are set at six levels of proficiency, aligned to the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) – from A1 to C2.

    CIC examinations by CVCL – the Language Centre of Università per Stranieri di Perugia are official business-orientated examination aimed at adults who are not native speakers of Italian. The exams assess the competence of communication skills in Italian in a professional context. CIC are set at two levels: Intermediate and Advanced that correspond to levels B2 and C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
