A hectic pace is unknown in Alicante and the "Siesta" is still taken seriously. People relax along the beautiful boulevards and promenade to enjoy a coffee, a Horchata (almond milk), or a Granizado (iced lime drink). Although Alicante is the heart of tourism on the Costa Blanca, it banished the tourism industry from its gates and retained its charm as a Spanish university town. PROYECTO ESPAÑOL is accredited by the "Instituto Cervantes" since 2003 (the first school in Alicante with this public accreditation) and accepted by CSN to receive students with Swedish state funded loans and grants to study abroad.
